Tiramisu has only 6 ingredients and takes about 10 minutes to prepare. It is both a simple and delicious dessert that will please your taste buds.

material

  • 4 cold egg yolks

  • 2 dl powdered sugar (120 g)

  • 500 grams of mascarpone

  • 25-30 Savoyardickes

  • 1.2 dl of espresso or strong coffee

  • cocoa, for pollination

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg yolks and powdered sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium/high speed. Beat for about 2-3 until it is white/light yellow in color and the consistency is creamy. The color depends on the color of the yolks.
  2. Add the mascarpone and mix into a smooth and creamy dough.
  3. Quickly dip both sides of the spiced cookie in the coffee and place on the bottom of the pan. It’s very important to dip the cookies quickly so they don’t absorb too much coffee, which can make the cake watery.
  4. Spread a third of the mascarpone cream over the cookies.
  5. Make two more layers with cookies and mascarpone cream (there should be 3 layers of cream on top of the last one).
  6. Wrap the mold properly in plastic wrap to prevent air and other refrigerator odors from entering the tiramisu.
  7. Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle the dessert with cocoa.

notes

Counselor! If you want to spice up your tiramisu a little more, you can put a fresh mint leaf on top of each piece.

FAQ

Can tiramisu be made without raw egg yolk?

If you don’t want raw egg yolk in your tiramisu, you can leave it out. Then add the mascarpone cheese until it becomes creamy for about 1-2 minutes and then add the powdered sugar and beat until creamy.

Without the yolk, you get less cream, so I can recommend making two layers instead of three.

Can it be done without coffee?

If you don’t like the taste of coffee, you can definitely leave it out of the recipe. Instead, you can dip the cookies in delicious hot chocolate, which children will especially appreciate.

Can it be made from alcohol?

Tiramisu can also be prepared with the wine of the recipe. Marsala wine, amaretto, brandy and dark rum are commonly added to tiramisu dishes.

Add 2 tablespoons to your coffee or 1 tablespoon of mascarpone cream before sipping on the flavored cookies.

How long does homemade tiramisu last?

Homemade tiramisu will keep in the fridge for about 2-3 days.

Tiramisu. about

Tiramisu is a classic dessert of Italian cuisine. It is believed to date back to the 1960s when it was created by Roberto Linguanoto, who was the owner of Le Becher – one of the oldest restaurants in Treviso.

However, there are many other theories about how tiramisu was made.

It is a simple but very tasty dessert made from Savoryyard biscuits, egg yolk, sugar, coffee, mascarpone cheese, cocoa and sometimes liqueur. The original is served in a round glass, but since Sevoird cookies are slanted, it is easier to bake the cake in a rectangular shape.

There is no egg white in the traditional tiramisu recipe, but it is included in many modern recipes, as is the whipped cream.

The word tiramisu comes from the Italian language and means “to delight me” in English.
