Do you want to make delicious and creamy rice porridge for Christmas? Here is my favorite Santa Porridge recipe that is both delicious and easy to make at home!
Rice porridge success tips
Before you start the recipe, there are a few things to keep in mind. Here are some tips to help you be successful with Santa Porridge:
wash oatmeal rice
Always wash rice before cooking to remove dirt and starch. Some studies also suggest that washing rice can reduce the amount of heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, and cadmium that may be present where the rice is grown.
I usually wash the rice in a pot in cold water. Rinse a few times until the water is clear. When you wash the rice for the first time, you will notice how cloudy the water becomes and the more you wash, the clearer the water becomes.
Use regular milk and whipped cream
Rice porridge is traditionally made from milk, but I also add whipped cream to make it a little creamier. Use regular milk in recipes for better flavor, but skim milk works well if you have some at home.
shake from time to time
Since the recipe contains both milk and cream, it is important that you stir it regularly while the rice porridge is on the stove. It can be burned otherwise.
Be careful with the salt if you make more portions
If you plan to make more than 4 servings, do not double the amount of salt. Start with 3 km and taste and add more if you feel it is necessary.
