notes

To make beetroot hummus, you need to have cooked chickpeas and beetroot. You can either cook the chickpeas yourself or buy them in a can to choose from.

The same goes for the beats. You can buy both fresh and ready-to-cook and vacuum-packed beets at the grocery store.

If you want to make beet hummus from fresh beets, you can boil or roast the beets. I personally like to bake them in the oven.

If you want to roast beets in the oven, you need to cut and clean the top. Beets do not need to be peeled before frying.

Wrap the beets in foil and place on a tray and bake in the oven at 190 degrees until soft. Depending on the size of the beets, this will take a long time, about an hour or more.

After roasting and softening in the oven, let the beets cool. Then remove the peel and cut into pieces.
